where wizards dine out

Luke and Matt were in fully story mode tonight. Luke was on his way to see Gandalf the wizard in his castle. He got to the door and knocked.
"Was Gandalf there?" asked Matt.
"No," said Luke.
"Where was he?"
"Bob Evans. He was eating some pancakes."

I've actually never read Lord of the Rings, although I love the films and I always wondered where Gandalf went after he fought the dragon and before he became Gandalf the White. Now I know.
